![]() ![]() If you run CCleaner in default mode you will more than likely experience problems sooner or later. The included automatic file checking, defrag or optimization and then YOU running disk cleanup and of course your browser history, cookies, etc cleanup, will suffice. It is certainly unnecessary, as a system maintenance tool on 10. Now I have no more need for CCleaner which is a nice feeling. ![]() So I spent a few hours the other day creating about a dozen rules for BleachBit to bring it up to date with the cleaning rules of CCleaner. I do not recommend CCleaner on 10 for the average user. I noticed that when cleaning with BleachBit, CCleaner would still find a few dozen things to delete regarding Chrome/Chromium. I do not use malwarebytes on 10, as mentioned the earlier version is not compatible with 10 and I do not like the new version. Any version of CCleaner distributed on Uptodown is completely virus-free and free to download at no cost. Download rollbacks of CCleaner for Windows. If you then wish to support that with some scan on demand, such as my colleague Flavallee has mentioned he does, with the free Malwarebytes - the expired trial - in your case, then you may use that. It includes all the file versions available to download off Uptodown for that app. It is free unobtrusive and the most important detail is that - it is always 100% compatible with Windows 10 and all its updates - 100% of the time. I recommend you use the included Windows defender ![]()
